the equality MODEL pANEL
Monday, December 7th at 4:00 PM
Join us Monday at 4pm for a panel discussion hosted by New Yorkers for the Equality Model, including former prosecutors, experts on The Equality Model, and survivors of sex trafficking.
What is it?
The Equality Model is a legal plan to find the right balance of decriminalization and legalization of the commercial sex industry. It prioritizes the rights of those who have been exploited, including those who are prostituted or trafficked, while holding buyers and exploiters accountable for the harm they cause.
Why is it important?
The Equality Model has been shown to reduce the number of people who are trafficked or exploited. The goal of the Panel is to educate the Colgate community, and eventually to have enough national support to have the Equality Model adopted in the U.S. in reduce human trafficking and exploitation.
